Oil temp for GT86/FR-S/BRZ?
Re: Oil temp for GT86/FR-S/BRZ?
When will custom PIDs be supported so we can see oil temps on the FR-S BRZ 86? Thanks!
Re: Oil temp for GT86/FR-S/BRZ?
So I sold my 2013 FR-S and bought a 2017 BRZ. I see the oil temp now. According to something I read in a Facebook group, the oil temp not displaying is only on 2013 cars. 2014 and up should be OK.

I don't think the temp you see is oil, it's water. I have a 2017 BRZ and there is no option for oil temp that I can find, per Harry's detailed explanations above.tofujoe wrote:So I sold my 2013 FR-S and bought a 2017 BRZ. I see the oil temp now. Re: Oil temp for GT86/FR-S/BRZ?
I have Harry's in Grand Prix edition, have been using it for track days and its great. Saw the new Custom PIDs support in v22. I'm using the Kiwi 3 OBD bluetooth.
I set up the custom PID for the oil temp as below: When I go to Sensor List > Kiwi for Sensor Information, it does show in one of the items - 0x210 0x01 EOT
This seems to be a good sign, as I've played around with the Mode and PID, and other settings I don't get this in the Sensor Information.
However - I'm still not getting any data for Oil Temp in the app.
Any tips on the PID settings, or other Expert settings?

Re: Oil temp for GT86/FR-S/BRZ?
You did everything correct, but LapTimer didn't. I just tested your scenario and found there is an issue with expression parameters > H. This means AC in the "=AC-40" formula doesn't work for v22.1.3.
I will add a fix for the next bug fix release v22.1.4, but want to ask for some help to make sure it will really work for this release:
Please follow instructions in viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1500 to create a log of the OBD dialog with your car and send it to me. Please configure the above custom PID after you have installed Harry's GPS/OBD Buddy, start logging with "OBD Troubleshooting" enabled. Connect your Kiwi to the car and record a minute with the engine running.
The log will help me to see the precise communication and reply from your car in particular. I will use this to retest the fix I have done do far. Thanks a lot.

Are those zeros or the letter o in the ECU ?nogzie wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 12:19 am I have Harry's in Grand Prix edition, have been using it for track days and its great. Saw the new Custom PIDs support in v22. I'm using the Kiwi 3 OBD bluetooth.
