No video + GoPro?

Post by spider »

Hi guys.

I've always used Harry's Lap Timer with my Iphone 4s (and his gps); now I've bought a GoPro Hero 3+ Black.

I'd like to make videos with GoPro, and make lap timers (without video) with the iPhone (I have no too much free memory in it so it's better without video).

2 questions:

- How can I paste GoPro's video and Harry's Lap Time timing and performances?

- How can I improve the precision of the Iphone's gps? Can you reccomend me an external gps?

Thanks.

Hi,

The GoPro integration is documented here: http://www.gps-laptimer.com/LapTimerDoc ... hapter.pdf Please note that although you can turn off the video view starting with 17.5 while controlling a HERO recording in background, you will still have the iPhone cam recording in background too. Please select a low resolution in LapTimer's Settings in this case - this saves memory and battery.

There are several great external GPSes available. Please check http://www.gps-laptimer.de/Compatibility.html for the full list. The recommended solutions are fully integrated with LapTimer and increase timing accuracy to the best you can get from GPS based systems.

Ops, I had "best available - high resolution", now I'll set "192x144 - Low"

And compression GPS now is "low", is it ok o I have to change it?

Thanks.

GPS compression has nearly no influence on space and should be turned off completely for recent versions.

When I go to LapTimer - settings - multicam control - discover multicams - and try to set it as ON, I have this warning "this feature is not available in this app edition" but I have the latest (v17.5.1).

That's not on the version, but the LapTimer edition. MultiCam is a LapTimer Grand Prix feature which your version can be upgraded to (Add-Ons).

The upgrades are available from within your LapTimer: select the Add-ons tab and you should see the "Grand Prix Upgrade" (in case you run a Petrolhead Edition currently).
