Android 13 issues? Upgrade to GP edition and external BT connections
Re: Android 13 issues? Upgrade to GP edition and external BT connections
I have never done it this way, but you may try going to developer mode to access the crash log locally:

Oh oh, that's quite complicated... Maybe I can check first easily whether there are even crash logs.

Do you run GrandPrix from the beginning? It has it been upgraded from Rookie/Petrolhead?

Hi Harry, problem solved! Had some time now on Easter to play around with all the settings and now it works stable!
I think I had first to remove the permission "Nearby devices" and then start the app newly (deleting cache before) and then force the app to enable Bluetooth...
The sequence was somehow important. Cannot reproduce it to find out what exactly in which order was necessary.
But know it works stable!
Maybe you can optimize something anyway that such an issue cannot occur anymore!
Thank you very much!

Good to hear. I did some research in the developer docs. The last relevant change to BT permissions has been introduced with Android 12 and is implemented for the current LapTimer version already. I assume there has been some permission data screwed up for your installation. I will revisit the BT+ button nevertheless, because it should not crash with a permission error but bring up a proper error message...

Great, thank you! Then this issue is not Android 13 related.

Wonder if this is why I cant connect my racebox mini? Was this ever resolved? I am on a S22 Ultra and the racebox is not available anywhere. connects fine to the racebox app.

Just wondering what you mean by force app to enable Bluetooth?Sideshow wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 10:33 am Hi Harry, problem solved! Had some time now on Easter to play around with all the settings and now it works stable!

Yeah, wording might be misleading. With "force" I meant that I let the HLT app notice that BT is not on and activate BT by the HLT app message.
