OBDLink LX and missing data
Hi Harry,
some of my data is not populated. E.g Oil Temp, Power and Torque. Is there a specific OBD Tweak I need to use for the OBDLink?

Cheers

Re: OBDLink LX and missing data
Porsches do not map oil temperature to the OBD standard PIDs - they prefer to keep it secret... To get power and torque, please set the engine values in your vehicle's details dialog.

Re: OBDLink LX and missing data
Wait until you are on the beta and submit your vehicle for certification - it is a new feature in v20.
Besides data entered, v19 requires the MAF PID to calculate power and torque. You may check if it available in Sensor List - OBDLInk LX - Info (while connected). V20 will use MAP in case MAF is not available.

Re: OBDLink LX and missing data
Hi, I checked with OBDLinkt and HLT. Oil Temp is displayed with OBDLink. MAF is not. Just to be sure I made screenshots with all transmitted data. I'll send a link to Dropbox with all images.

Re: OBDLink LX and missing data
Thanks for the data.
EOT (oil) is PID 015C and not delivered for your car.
MAP is PID 010B and available (but not used in v19).
MAF is PID 0110 and not available (but will be calculated from MAP by v20).
The OBDLink app either has some Porsche manufacturer information backed in (custom PIDs) or generates an estimate for EOT from ECT. I will re-check that once I add custom PID support.
A hint for your settings: try LapTimer ‣ Administration ‣ Settings ‣ Expert Settings ‣ OBD Tweaks ‣ CAN Multi Requests ‣ 3 / adaptive. This will double you update rate

Re: OBDLink LX and missing data
As written above - they may use a custom PID. These custom PIDs are make / model / year specific and not supported by LapTimer so far. ECT (= engine coolant temperature) is available for your car. Please search for custom PIDs here on the forum and elsewhere. It is a cumbersome topic.
