To get more fixes stored (for GPS and OBD), you need to increase the GPS update rate by using an external GPS. Check my Compatibility page on www.gps-laptimer.de for options. As an alternative, use LapTimer's overlaying by transferring the GoPro video to your iPhone. LapTimer interpolates by frame (25 or 30 per second) and you will not see a difference between a 1 Hz and e.g. 10 Hz update rate. For more information on overlaying footage recorded externally, please check LapTimer' Video documentation on www.gps-laptimer.de

I had similar issue as the iPhones which do 1 sample per sec (the worst was when it did not sample a start/finish lap and laps would bleed over 2 or 3 laps as 1 lap) so I bought a Dual XGPS that does 10 samples per second.

Harry on his home page also provides other alternatives 5 to 20+ samples per second.

Harry,
I do have a question on just downloading "Track Sessions." Should I only do that for the '.hlptrl' or should I consider doing .csv and .kml if I want to use at some point another editor ( not expecting to do so but just wanting to be safe).

Second question. If I have to rebuild an iPhone from scratch and reinstall your application, I assume, I can rebuild my database by just pressing individual .hlptrl files to build a full database.

Last question, if I accidentally repeat a .hltprtl file with the exact same data, will I have duplicated in HLT or is program smart enough to eliminate dups?

You can export to CSV as a second backup, kml is pretty useless for post processing. Yes, importing .hlptrl or more of them will rebuild the database including vehicles. Videos and track sets are not included, the later can be added from Add-ons. LapTimer does not check for duplicates!

thank you. I will be careful, if I need to rebuild just one file at a time.

If I export the following

Session = 3 laps for last session selected
Nov 2 = 20 laps selected
Track = 0 'unspecified' laps selected ***
All - 386 laps selected

How do you select a track event and get all the laps selected for that 2-3 day track event???

Not supported for export. In case you ran 2 days, select any lap of day 1 from Lap List, scroll to the bottom, press Export, select Day / date and export. Repeat for any lap of day 2.
