Lap splitted in 4 parts?

Post by sgabrov »

Today I've used lap timer on my iphone 5 with external GPS *bluetooth*.

End result was whole lap was splitted in 4 parts so instead of recording 10 laps It recorded 40+.

How can I set it up the way it wont do that?

What I did was set the start finish line and then when it said "drive" I pressed drive.

I assume there are some triggers defined generating this splits. Did you drive on a pre defined track (downloaded from the database), or is this a custom track? You may export a full session to kml and send it to me (Harry@gps-laptimer.de) for analysis.

Yes, at least pretty consistent 4 "laps" for each "real lap" :-) The snapshot shows the first 4 laps, for all other "real laps", it is the same picture. As the track is very tight, it is possible the split to the left is a false alarm from the Start / Finish Trigger, the other are not. To work around false alarms in the future, please consider adding a driving direction to triggers. For this example (track driven counter clockwise), the Start / Finish is passed driving Northwest. So adding a driving direction of e.g. 330 degree will work around the trigger firing on the counter straight.

But maybe this has not been the problem here. As all the laps show the same splits, the only explanation for me is there have been some additional triggers (e.g. from a former AX route). Please open the Lap List in LapTimer and check if you see conflict markers (red exclamation marks) for your tracks. These need to be removed as LapTimer will use any trigger it finds, not only those for the track selected.

I'll try (probably) tomorrow and set the driving direction trigger.
I have no red exclamation marks.

I'll reply when i have another session.
Thanks for the support.

Fine, please just recheck the "User Track Set" rows in Lap List and remove whatever may generate issues.
