Re: Map view question

LapTimer map view has several modes. The default is lateral acceleration showing green / yellow / red for certain G levels. To see longitudinal acceleration, select the tool icon and switch the view type. Overall there are four options: lateral / longitudinal / accuracy / lap2reference comparison. -...

Re: Shaky Video with HLT, Clean without

All phones I have seen shake with LapTimer, showed shake with the phone's camera app too... There is an option to turn off *software* image stabilization you can try: LapTimer ‣ Race ‣ Video ‣ internal cam ‣ Preview ‣ Tools menu in the top right. The hardware issue with a engine vibration triggered ...

Re: Easiest and/or best gopro version?

The Max is coming with a completely different stabilization technology. It has not the lens, but the lighter sensor movi...

Re: OBDII Data

Please the start with making sure you are in the latest app version (v24.0.4). The BT1 is usually working without any tweak, so this is what we need to return to. Please start LapTimer and press the Contact button. Send the contact mail with note "please check my OBD settings" to Harry@gps...

Re: OBDII Data

You have changed the "ECUs Addressed" Expert Setting to something like $EC? This field should be either ALL, PCM, TCM or a valid hex address. Please set "ECUs Addressed" to "ALL" (without quotes). Goto Sensor List and press Refresh. Then connect, I'm positive it will wo...

Re: Easiest and/or best gopro version?

To use the direct integration, the HEROs up to 7 are recommended. HEROs 8 and 9 in particular add additional trouble for connection making. This getting more and more a closed shop. While you can still use them (by making the connection through their own app), I do not want to recommend them. Please...

Re: OBDII Data

Please forget about video for now. Using Engine View, what do you see with OBD connected and engine running? When troubleshooting things it is always good to check things one by one.

Rename .hpoiz to .hpoil.gz Decompress it to .hpoil afterwards (gunzip or other program).

Re: Out and Back - copy / duplicate track?

LapTimer uses a super fast but old fashioned database system. It dates back to LapTimer’s first implementation on PalmOS. This limit will go away in the future, but it is a “deep” change.

Re: Out and Back - copy / duplicate track?

Not within the app. Butt you can use the Certify function to create a copy: select the track set / POIs from Lap List press Certify - which is used to submit a track for inclusion in LapTimer's tracks database instead of sending the mail generated to us, enter your own email address open .HPOIL file...
