Re: Garmin Glo 2

Connect the GLO es recommended by Garmin. This will feed in GLO data into iOS’s location service. In LapTimer it will appear as “iPhone GNSS” but deliver a higher update rate than 1Hz and better accuracy.

Re: Does Harry's lap timer supports KTM RC390 OBD readers?

RPM is necessary to work with LapTimer. Please keep in mind OBD II is not mandatory for motorbikes. This means manufacturers are free to not implement features usually available, or change behavior compared to the standard. To check what your KTM delivers (or does not deliver), please follow instruc...

Re: No overlay data in exported video

Please export one of the laps you overlaid using Video Export that showed not gauges in the resulting video (in Photo app). Use the .hlptrl format and make sure you export only one lap the problem occurs for. Send the export to Harry@gps-laptimer.de and add a comment so I can understand it belongs t...

Re: Cannot connect to GOPRO Hero 5 BE in Laptimer

GoPro's app is required as a one time action to define the HERO's WiFi and account and things like this. This one time action includes some fiddling with BT and WiFi. It is not required afterwards, neither is BT used by LapTimer for action cam operation. So the simpler sequence is: 1) turn on HERO (...

Re: Advices for Beginner on Grand Prix edition

Hello, I do not recommend to start with this extended set of accessories when using LapTimer the first time. This is really an advanced setup and chances are good something will not work without experience. You can start using LapTimer ahead of your track day: LapTimer includes a New Track assistant...

Re: Ecutek Bluetooth Dongle compatibility with Harry’s Lap Timer

I had a look into their product page. The adapter + app looks like a proprietary solution. Except when offering really exceptional / exclusive access, I strongly discourage buying this type of solutions. Being "closed", they block the use of faster / more intensive maintained apps like LapTimer. The...

Re: Displaying lap times while recording

Automatic triggering always supersedes manual start. This means that when passing a stop/go trigger while recording manually, the current recording will be stored as "manual" or "incomplete" and LapTimer starts a new fully automated lap.

Re: OBDII Throttle position display meter

This means the ECU responds to AppD. This does not mean your Skoda delivers anything useful. In addition, at least for the point in time you created the snapshot, LapTimer didn’t use AppD but some other PID. PIDs actually requested will show a response time in brackets. When changing an Expert Setti...

Re: Harrys LT App doesn't recognize Dual 150 GPS on new Motorola Z3

For Android, you need to add BT sensors to LapTimer in Sensor List as a one time action:

After pairing the device in Android's BT Settings, goto LapTimer ‣ Administration ‣ Sensor List.
Press the +BT icon and select the device.
Confirm this is a GPS device.
