Re: OBDII Data

Hello, In case I remember correctly, there have been some issues with OBD recordings when using the Video Preview while driving. This is the reason the alert is shown when bringing up the Preview (checking field of view only etc). So can you please clarify if you used the Video Preview while recordi...

Re: It´s possible to disable auto-start?

Hello,

Please check if Trigger Detection / Allow Low Speeds is checked in Expert Settings. By default, LapTimer will not trigger at all while standing still.

Re: Heading to the track next week and want to be ready

Please revisit Quick Reference included in LapTimer. It lists the important steps to record laps successfully. Please keep in mind Streets of Willow comes in a CW and a counter CW configuration. Make sure you load the right one matching your track day setup.

Re: Unable to export videos with Android 11

Hello,

I have submitted v24.0.4 to the stores, it will get available in about an hour. This version should have the video distribution thing fixed.

Re: Obd wifi - MHD black adapter

I hadn’t checked the adapter - there are so many. Following the link, the adapter is not an ELM327 device. It will not work for data logging. Please have a look into http://www.gps-laptimer.de/compatibility/ios for working options.

Re: Obd wifi - MHD black adapter

Hello, provided this WiFi adapter supports the ELM327 protocol, you can connect it to LapTimer too: make sure your smartphone is connected to the dongle's WiFi; you will see an icon this WiFi connection is not working as an Internet access; in case you are asked, confirm you want to stay connected t...

Re: Unable to export videos with Android 11

Yes, I got another report on this. And I agree, this is most probably a permission issue introduced with Android 11. I will upgrade my test device to 11 and try to reproduce / fix it for the next release. You have probably found the workaround already: connect your Smartphone to a PC using an USB ca...

Re: Ducati Panigale DDA to OBD2

The only option to access a none ELM327 protocol is using scripting. Please have a look into the Engine documentation available http://www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation It includes some technics that may be helpful for your sniffer too. As an example, it makes no sense to retrieve temperatures too o...

Re: GoPro Hero 9 - cannot connect

Connection making to GoPros is getting more complex all the time. The 9 does not allow to simply turn on WiFi and connect like former models, but requires making the connection using the GoPro app. So start it and connect and switch to LapTimer afterwards. Well possible, the warning to not run the G...
