Re: Can Laptimer be used without internet connection?

The misunderstanding is a different one: LapTimer changes between tracks automatically. There is no need to load or select a track to make it the active track. Once LapTimer approaches any trigger, it will check which track it belongs to and switch automatically. This means Load Track is optional. I...

Re: Splitting a session into two

No, session recognition is done automatically: "Session splits are derived from a time gap". As long as laps do not have a gap somewhere, they are not split. To split between drivers, there is a better approach: use a tag "Driver A" and a tag "Driver B". Assign these ta...

Re: Throttle no response in v22

Not related, but please start with updating to v22.0.3 (and 22.0.4 in a few days). I assume your M3 does not respond to the throttle standard PID. Try switching to Position D in Settings / Expert Settings / OBD Tweaks / Throttle PID.

Re: Splitting a session into two

Session splits are derived from a time gap between the end of one lap and the start of the next one. The threshold can be configured in Expert Settings.

Re: Can Laptimer be used without internet connection?

When loading a track, an Internet connection is required. But tracks loaded already, are available without any action. You can check whether a track set is loaded in Lap List: as long as a track comes with a first row with title “Certified Track Set”, it is ready to be driven.

Re: relink large files & splits

Hi, LapTimer expects one video file per session. So to overlay an arbitrary lap from the session, you need to join the chunks using a video editor and transfer the complete file to the smartphone. In case you do not have enough space (and can't free it up temporarily - e.g. syncing and purging music...

Re: RaceCapture support

Hi, That's a low priority in general (i.e. all external sensors). I think for 99% of all LapTimer users, the accelerometer built into the smartphone is fully sufficient. All accessory manufacturers built these IMU sensors into their GPS and OBD devices now. Not sure this makes too much sense except ...

Re: File size limit and orientation

LapTimer processes video files of arbitrary size. At least 2 or 3 years now. GoPro's HERO cams are still limited and splits large videos into 4GB chunks. Join these chunks on a PC before morning them to you smartphone.

Re: v22.0.2 Update does not work

Turn off "Show Large Hundreds" in LapTimer's Settings and it will work again.
Will be fixed in v22.0.4

Re: Moving PetrolHead version to new iPhone

We have a FAQ on this here on the forum: viewtopic.php?f=39&t=3341
Cellular service is not required provided you load your track set front up.
