Re: Rotation bug on iPad

In case you observe the rotation issue for portrait only views I had described (please check), the app is not notified on upcoming rotations currently. This in turn will result in problems with post calibration rotation according to device orientation.

Re: Rotation bug on iPad

I have observed a related problem for LapTimer running on iOS14 iPads: rotation is not properly notified to LapTimer. As a result, one can rotate a portrait only view (like Speedo or Acceleration) and instead of keeping Portrait, it rotates to an unsupported landscape screen layout. Can you please v...

Re: App closes to background

Do not uninstall in case you have not created an external backup before!

To answer your question, I'd need to know whether you use Android or iOS and which version. ;-)

Re: LapTimer v24

To get OBD data shown in videos they (a) need to be recorded and stored in LapTimer's database and (b) need to be added during overlaying. So in case the gauges are missing, always check both to find the root cause. To check (a), select the lap from Lap List and scroll down to Data Recordings. There...

Re: Both phone cameras?

No plans to support this currently. We had a discussion on this once or twice already for very specific situations. Any many smartphone will not support this either. But in case you have a passenger - ask him/her to take a second video. You can add this video to your LapTimer recording and use it as...

Re: Best & Recommended Video Resolutions

To start with, not all resolution/rates are supported.
You can use HD, FullHD, UHD 4K. 2.7K will result in odd overlays.
Frame rates must not exceed 60fps, otherwise interpolation to frames will fail and you will see animations not being smooth.

The rest is mainly about storage available.

Re: Invalid Master Video v24 - Grand Prix

In case your GoPro splits the video into 4GB chunks, merge them using a video editor before transferring it to you smartphone. Except chunk #2 and following may be incomplete in terms of a proper video format and result in this error message. NB: the joined video will be associated with all laps of ...

Re: GPS Speed Not Correct during Corners

Again, this needs to be set ahead of recording. But simply switch it and use Analysis ‣ Realtime ‣ GPS to see speeds reported in real time. No need to do this on track, it can be done on public roads.

Re: OBD Speed is about 10% lower than Actual

The speed multiplier is applied during recording. It doesn't change existing recordings. Please make sure you drive on a straight at constant speed when reading the values you want to map. A highway drive is perfect. Once you have OBD and GPS speeds, set the speed multiplier like this: new speed mul...
