Lap Timer Pro recorded two laps when it was only 1 lap

Post by markdfw »

Went to Eagle's Canyon Raceway yesterday and had a blast. The first session the app worked great. The 2nd through 4th sessions, it showed 2 laps for everyone one lap. Seems like the last couple turns were showing as their own lap. It looks like as you come out of turn 10, it thinks you hit the start/finish line, but you actually go down the track, turn 180 degrees at turn 11, and then come back to cross start/finish. I'm using iPhone 5 internal GPS.

How do I combine this data in to one lap? Can it be done within the app before I export, or do I have to export somewhere and then combine?

Next time you get this behavior, please set the POI detection to "Narrow". LapTimer does not support after the fact lap splits or joins currently. So in case you want to do something like this, you need to export both laps to .hlptrl, join them by editing, and import the result again. Editing the .hlptrl files is possible, but requires some calculations. You may check this article viewtopic.php?f=12&t=514 to get some insights on the format.
