New guy requests

Post by Gecko2345 »

Hi,

First time on the Forum, and will probably get flamed for not searching for the answers to my questions.
I have yet to purchase LapTimer for my iPad 2, since I am looking for particular features. I participate in Open Road Racing in West Texas. The object is to get as close to your target speed (85mph - 150 mph) for a total of 118 miles. 59 miles south in the morning, and returning 59 miles North in the afternoon. The start time is GPS based, and recorded by the GPS time you break the laser beam at the end of the 59 miles, each way ( down to .001 sec). Normal GPS readouts only give speed and average speed down to 0.1 mph (and these are old 1990s Garmin GPS IIIs). I would really like to have an iPad screen that:
1: Started off of a specific GPS time. ( I have the Dual GPS unit)
2: Gave a digital speed down to .01mph
3. Gave Average speed, from start, down to .01 mph (.001 would be even better)
4. Gave distance traveled down to .001 miles
5. A manual stop button for finish.

Not being too familiar with HLT, I think I could stop the timer, if I had set up the finish as a trigger point. Are you planning on adding the average speed to the HLT Trainer version?

Again sorry for the new guy questions.

Hi,

Moved this post to "Using LapTimer".

As LapTimer does not yet have a regularity focussed view, I'd suggest to use the 'Trip' view currently. Although it does not feature data recording features, it shows speed, average speed, distance traveled - all since the last start / reset.
