Hi, I’ve got an iPhone and got a while whenever I try to export a backup, the email screen appears and the email is populated with text and has an attachment. I’ve tried filling out the email field with a couple of different emails but it won’t allow me to send.
Also - I don’t use iOS Mail, in fact I have it uninstalled.
Does the app require the iOS Mail app to be installed and set up to use the export backup as email functionality?
Also, is there any way to directly export a backup to google drive/icloud etc?
Thanks
Backup export email won’t send
Re: Backup export email won’t send
The backup function is actually a convenience wrapper around LapTimer's general export function. It selects Mail as the export "transport level" and preselects the full scope of laps plus the format HLPTRL automatically. This can't be changed on user level.
The alternative is using the general export function: select any lap in Lap List and select the share / export icon in the bottom. Select All as scope, select HLPTRL as the only format to export. Finally, instead of pressing Mail, select the Share option. This will allow you to select an arbitrary app available on your phone like iCloud Drive, Files, etc.
