Support of the Heart rate sensor on the Galaxy Fit2/Mi Band 4

Post by antinneo »

I'm curious to know if there's a possibility to connect the heart rate sensor available on the Galaxy Fit2 or Mi Band 4 to the Laptimer.
The Galaxy Fit2 (may be Mi Band 4, also) is equipped with a heart rate sensor and supports BLE connectivity.
I am interested in exploring if this sensor data can be integrated or utilized within Harry's Laptimer.

Provided these devices feed data into iOS's Health application, LapTimer will be able to use it. LapTimer does not integrate these sensors directly, but relies on the Health app.

I don’t think you can connect the Galaxy Fit2 or Mi Band 4 directly to Harry’s Laptimer since it doesn’t support those devices natively. I tried looking into this for my own setup a while back, and it seemed like you’d need some workaround, like a third-party app to relay the data, which felt too complicated. In the end, I went with a Polar H10 strap, and it worked flawlessly with the Laptimer—it’s super reliable and hassle-free if you’re serious about getting accurate heart rate data synced.
