Carista ODBII dropping connection with LapTimer

Post by GeoJoe »

Hi Harry.

I have a Carista ODB2 dongle that I have used with great success in connecting your LapTimer in my 2012 Audi S4. http://www.caristaapp.com/

I now have upgraded to a 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4, and I am finding an inconsistent connection. You can see from the screenshot below that it does connect and feed me some engine information. However, this connection gets dropped after just 20 or 30 seconds, and then will come back again after some time.

Please let me know what I might try to fix the connection and make it solid. I have logged a file and emailed it to you for analysis.

Thank you in advance for your help.
