Lap Timer Question

Post by wideslider »

Hi,

I race in a control series where the organisers have set a lap time which we are not allowed to be faster than or we get penalised. This rule is in place to ensure people aren't cheating however we are still faster than this time and we have to find a lap timer that will help us manage our lap times.

Can Harry's Laptimer be configured so that we can set the target lap time and then have it show if we are above or below the target lap time? I don't want it to show against our fastest lap time as we need it to stay consistent at the target lap time and if we go faster it will target that time.

Thanks, Ben

Not exactly. LapTimer always compares to real laps. A lap time (or average speed) alone is not enough. What can be done however, is selecting a lap recorded which matches your target time as reference time. This will make LapTimer show the gap time to this lap in real time while driving (predictive lap timing / gap analysis). To select a particular lap as references (opposed to Last or Best lap), select it from Lap List and press the "Reference" button.
