I seem to be going backwards - I was able to do overlaying last year, but it isn't working on the latest update. most likely its me that's at fault.
I have 3 * 15 lap races. I shot the video on a GoPro, so each race is on several 4 gig files. So first, I've combined these into a single video with Final Cut Pro - no editing, just joining the blocks together.
I then put the timing data and videos on my iPad. But when I try to add the Video to the session's timing data, I get an overlay on only one lap - I recall last year, if you selected one lap, Laptimer worked through the whole race - this doesn't happen now for some reason.
There is no option to overlay more than 1 lap, and I get no offer of a preview or have the ability to sync the video to the lap - once I press the overlay button, it starts overlaying without any alignment.
Is there a change in software I don't know about, or am I screwing up - I suspect the latter!
Thanks
Walter
Overlaying Problems
Re: Overlaying Problems
Please post a snapshot of the lap details screen of the lap you start the overlay from. In addition, please post a snapshot of the Overlay Configuration screen you get after pressing the "Overlay" button.

Re: Overlaying Problems
Hi Harry - I think I've got what you want - see attached files
I did 3 sessions on the weekend, 1 on Saturday (11 laps) and 2 on Sunday (15 and 17 laps). The images are from my attempt to overlay Lap 1 of the Sunday afternoon race - which I guess is Lap 27 of the whole weekend session.
It occurs to me that there may be a problem with the Mosport data set - see Image 1206. The track isn't 29,483 kms long and I didn't drive it at 999kph backwards!
But you wrote the programme, so I should let you tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks for your support

Re: Overlaying Problems
It looks like there is an issue with your data recordings. Wrong overall distance leads to invalid average speed, but the main question is why is the overall distance wrong... Please select any lap from the session you want to overlay, and press Export. Select "Session" as scope and ".hlptrl" as format. Send the export to me (Harry@gps-laptimer.de) and add a link to this thread so I have a chance to get the context
