Using Data / Recording Without a preset Track

Post by Tem120 »

I know this may be a bit strange , But I autocross and do track days , which harry's Petrol head edition has worked relatively well For

But I'm curious if I can Change some things .

For example We have something of a rally kind of event Where we drive through a closed down course . But I dont really have much of a chance to make a start / finish point

and it really frustrated me that I wasnt able to record the event because I had forgotten to get the finish .

I have a petrol head edition , And basically I am wondering if there is any way I can Start recording / with G forces / and speed data , even if I dont have the actual Time , Basically

a hit start and record , while having data but no timing because obviously there wouldnt be a start / finish . I'd be happy with that

I'll be doing a hill climb soon and I would like to use harry's for the event But again . It would make my life alot easier if There was an option to record and have data , without dictating a start and finish , either way when i the data on my phone is never as precise as it is with the timers.

If I have to upgrade to the grand prix version in order to have free roam , and not be limited to a premade track with start / finish , I will gladly do that .

There are several options:

In case you want to define the track using a map, please follow the instructions here: http://legacy.gps-laptimer.de/Tracks.html
You may use the AX assistant as a short cut for the approach shown in the tutorial
It is possible to manually record data too: LapTimer ‣ Administration ‣ Settings ‣ Behavior / Manual Timing
This will reveal a Start / Stop / New / Split buttons in all timer views.
