Simple export question

Post by galvatron »

Hello, about to buy your app, just wanted to check something before I do. I plan on using an external camera to record video, and the lap timer app to record data. Will it export data in a format that a program on a Mac or PC will take and overlay it onto the video, from a separate file? I don't want to have to put the video on the phone to overlay it that way, I'd rather do it on a computer. If so, does anyone have any application recommendations for something that will take the data and video? Again, can be Mac or PC, doesn't matter. Thanks!

Iirc Harry suggests Dashware, or Trackvision.
You can get a trial version of Dashware off their website, it looks OK but I'm not going to commit to it unitil the nallow creation of the overlay to blue screen. They say it's their number 1 priority. Currently you have to edit the data to fit the lap, I'd rather visually fit the dashboard to the video, seems easier to me!
HLT outputs the data in a dashware format, and dashware has the data set up for HLT.
Hope that helps.

Are there any other programs that will do this? Dashware does not run in OS X and Trackvision is quite pricey.

To my knowledge there is no video overlaying software for tracks recordings available on MacOSX.
