Using LapTimer on a motorcycle with GoPro

I'm confused on how to setup the Laptimer GP edition on my motorcycle with a GoPro. I'm trying to use the Latimer GP with an XPGS-160, a GoPro Hero3+, and a GoPoint BT1. I really don't have a place to mount my iPhone 6, so I put it inside my leathers. I want to only use the GoPro for video, not the internal camera on the iPhone. So I want to be able to overlay the LapTimer data and the GoPoint BT1 data on my GoPro video. I would appreciate some advice on how to do this.

Putting the smartphone into your suite is not recommended. In case you crash, you may hurt yourself with the hard smartphone (on top of other issues). Furthermore, the smartphone needs to be "on" which in turn will lead to some "touches" crating all kinds of issues. In case you can't mount the phone to the steering rod or behind windshield. Please check other places like your gloves box etc.

In general you will be pretty busy with all the gadgets at a time My suggestion: smartphone mounted or in a box, XGPS taped behind windshield or on your bike's tail (best), and the GoPro mounted to your helmet. Thank you for the response Harry. Unfortunately, race bikes do not have glove boxes and handlebars are not a good option in my case. I suppose that there is no way to lock the screen to keep touches from affecting the app. I'm not sure I have very many options here. Thank you for the link to your documentation.

The app needs to be operated in foreground, it is not possible to lock the screen.
