Hello,
I recently bought a Galaxy S6 Edge. My phone installed automatic Harrys Lap timer again. The problem is that no user exist and no Lap records from my previous Track days.
What I have to do to restore my laps and my user name ?
Thank you

Re: Samsung Galaxy S5 to Galaxy S6 problem
I don't know what migration support is available for Samsung devices... You may use LapTimer's export and import of .hlptrl files to transfer laps, and cars. Track sets can be reloaded from the server. Individual preferences need to be re-entered (usually not a lot). Upgrades are simply repeated from Add-ons (no charge when loading a second time with the same Google ID).
Importing .hlptrl files on Android is a bit tricky. Open the mail LapTimer generated on you new phone. Download the .hlptrl attachment. Start ES File Explorer (or similar, free tool), and touch the file in Downloads. Select LapTimer.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S5 to Galaxy S6 problem
Harry,
I'm also having issues going from the S5 to S6. This is the third phone I've switched to, but first time I have had problems importing lap data.
Here's what I am doing.
S5
upload/export .hlptrl file via email
S6
1. retrieve email and attempt to download file, will not download, get message there is no app for this file type. (Harry's is installed)
2. tried downloading to Google Drive then to phone, get same message.
3. noticed the laptimer file that was attached to the email from the S5 was actually .hlptrz, so tried renaming to .hlptrl and then downloading, still not working.
I'm attaching the file here for your review. Let me know if you want screen shots or anything from the S6.
THANK YOU! (love the app

Re: Samsung Galaxy S5 to Galaxy S6 problem
I will check again. There is something wrong anyway, LapTimer should actually be presented in Gmail directly - without Download and stuff... You can try to rename .hlptrz to .hlptrl.gz - maybe ES File Explorer will jump in then and uncompress / open it. It is the app which recognized .hlptrl / .hlptrz file well usually.

Just tried rename to hlptrl.gz no luck. Still says no app to open it.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S5 to Galaxy S6 problem
Found the issue, it seems the registration for extensions like implemented in LapTimer is broken since Android 4.0. I have found a way to make it working directly from Gmail. I plan to submit an update latest Monday.
