Transferring laps from iPhone to iPad

Transferring laps from iPhone to iPad

First off, thanks for the app, it's great. :)

I have a set of recorded lap data on my iPhone that I want to transfer to my iPad (both using HLT Petrolhead). I think I'm doing it correctly, but the devices never find each other.

On the iPhone I click Lap list, Transfer and then Send Trackday to friend. It then says Searching....

On the iPad I then click Lap list, Transfer and then Receive Lap from friend. It then waits for a while, before eventually timing out and returning to the lap list.

I've tried with both devices with Wifi + Bluetooth on and it never find the other device. Is there anything obvious I'm doing wrong?

You are doing everything right. Oddly D2D transfer is broken since iOS8. I just fixed it two days ago - for the upcoming version 19. Till then, please export data you want to transfer to .hlptrl and send it to a mail account you can read on your iPad. Touch the attachment and select LapTimer to open it. This will import the data.
