Would Harry's laptimer work with a second generation ipad?

P.S. Only the 3G version had a GPS chip built in. The wifi models require an external GPS.

Google maps works on my ipad so I guess I have GPS?

The maps Apps also work via Wifi triangulation, so that's no indicator for GPS.

In case the iPad has a SIM card slot, you are fine, otherwise you need an external GPS (there is an iOS compatibility page available too).
