I have read every document and cant seem to find the answer to this question. I am intending to use the app (Laptime Pro) at Sebring tomorrow for the first time - do I need to choose the track or will the app automatically recognize it for me? I have already downloaded the track. Under the "Set" button it shows POI Set as "Unspecified" - when I click on that area to open that sub-menu Sebring shows as one of the options - if I choose that I get a warning that it will change the POIs for Sebring and I don't want to do that (at least I don't think I do)
One other question - am I correct in my understanding that video will only work properly with the phone in a landscape/horizontal mounting?
Please help! Excited to try this tomorrow - Thanks
Adam

Re: Do I need to choose the track in POI Set?
Hi Adam,
Please just download Sebring from the Add-ons list. That's all. LapTimer will automatically switch to Sebring / start timing once you cross the start trigger included. Please do not use the Set button as long as you do not want to define your own tracks. Actually this button will be removed in the next version. In case you have used the Set button already and find POIs/triggers in the Unspecified section - delete them.
Video is currently landscape / turned to left (counter clockwise) only. Clockwise rotation will be supported in the next version too.

Re: Do I need to choose the track in POI Set?
Sorry never got back. Worked fine except for an occasional hiccup. One question though -when I want to go back and review data for the day, how do in find the segment times? From turn 16 to 17 for example. I would imagine this will help me see where i might be losing some speed/have opportunities to improve. Thanks !
Re: Do I need to choose the track in POI Set?
Hi,
Sector times are available in two places (as long as split triggers are defined): Lap List -> Lap Details -> there is a section with sector and split times; Lap List -> Lap Details -> Track -> Laps; in the later, press the button in the top left to get a sector by sector comparison.
Currently, there is no cursor / marker to walk through a plot showing you all kinds of details. This is on the list.

I don't see either of those options. The only thing I can do is enlarge the track map and see turn and straightaway speeds.
You say "as long as split triggers are defined". How do I know that?
Track is Sebring by the way. Thanks

Hi,
The Sebring track set does currently not feature splits. Thanks to any volunteer to add and re-certify!
To add a split to a track follow the instructions on track set building here: http://www.gps-laptimer.de/Tracks.html Once you have defined a trigger and moved it to the right place, simply select 'Split' instead of 'Stop/Go' in the bottom most setting in the Trigger Details view.
As Sebring has no splits defined Lap List -> Lap List does not show splits recorded.
In case you do not have Lap List -> Lap Details -> Track -> Laps, please load the latest LapTimer v14.

Re: Do I need to choose the track in POI Set?
Thanks Harry - didn't know v14 had come out yet updating now.
Did set a new personal lap record this weekend and couldn't have done it without your Lap Timer!
Last question (for now) - if I want to upload my data to my iPad, do I understand correctly that I need to buy LapTimer Trainer? Is there a different price for someone who already has purchased LapTimer Pro?
Thanks for your help.

Great, that it is all abouthotmommaracing wrote: Did set a new personal lap record this weekend and couldn't have done it without your Lap Timer!

Well, you can install your iPhone LapTimer to your iPad. This will not add support for the big screen however. So far Apple does not offer any upgrade / product transition model. I tried to mimic this for LapTimer Standard - Professional using InApp Purchase but it is a pain maintaining this.hotmommaracing wrote:Last question (for now) - if I want to upload my data to my iPad, do I understand correctly that I need to buy LapTimer Trainer? So to cut a long story short: if you want to have the great, large, beautiful screen, you need to go for Trainer in addition.
