Hello,
I am new to this software so I try to ask the older members if I am right here.
I need to log a race car race telemetry and record the driver view as video. For this I searched alot for dashcams. I did not find any logger that will be above 5Hz with 3D gyroskope logging. I need about 100Hz for the playback in a motion simulator. So I found this software and try to ask now my importand questions:
1. Is it possible to record with my android smartphone and this software the whole gyro data with 100Hz while recording the street with fullHD? I need the data format for my own playback software on PC.
2. Which Handy is able (~200€, more cheap) to record with 60FPS and FullHD?
Best regards,

Question about recording?
Re: Question about recording?
Hi,
LapTimer merges all sensor sources and stores the result in a uniform update rate (that of GPS). So although it is possible to throttle the accelerometer up to 100 Hz, this data will be used for realtime display, but stored at GPS rate in the database. However, for the Android version there is indeed an option to store raw data in addition: in Settings -> Expert Settings -> Turn on Tracing with "Type: Logfile" and add "Raw Data" as the only trace class. Please do not turn on more trace classes at the same time as this will generate ridiculous large log files. No drive around and LapTimer will write a log containing all GPS; OBD, Accelerometer raw data in a kind of CSV format. Once you are done, select the "Send Logfile" row in Expert Settings and send the generated file to yourself.
I'm not aware of a smartphone recording FullHD at 60 Hz (except the iPhone5S), but maybe someone else can help here. In case there is an Android one, it will not be in the range of 200 US$ but in the upper end...
