The OBD update rate varies a lot by car connected to. LapTimer is optimized to get the best possible update rate for RPM and Throttle position. All other values are retrieved at lower update rates to get the best for RPM / Throttle. This is what I have seen so far:

2005 Porsche 911 C2 1.4Hz
2011 Porsche 911 GTS 7.0Hz
2007 Volvo C30 2.0d 6.0Hz

Please let me know what you have seen.

For information, I miss a very key information from the ODB: the water temperature. I get it from Fuzzycar or Rev (full version), but not from Harry. If I could get it, I will not need Rev anymore!

Thanks for the feedback. On the temperature: o.k., I'll put this on my list.

Added both coolant and oil temperature (if available) to the upcoming version 13.3.

2003 Honda S2000 - 1.5 Hz

Is there any way to cut down the variable to just TPS and Tach and possibly achieve a higher rate? Being able to select OBDII variables in preferences would be nice assuming cutting down helps with the update rate. Thanks.

Hi,

LapTimer requests RPM, TPS, and VSS only at high update rates. MAF is requested every 4th time, all others every 16th time.

I did some experiments with an a selective approach but did not get significant better results as long as we take RPM, TPS, VSS as a minimum.
