Video Shutting Down

I am sorry if this has been discussed, but I could not find my exact problem. I have version 17.0.6 with an Iphone 4S 64 with 19.7GB of space available. I just bought the app and went to the track on Friday. The first time I went out I ran the video and it shut off after 3 laps. The next time out it shut off after 2 laps. I did not try the video any more but the app worked great with just running the timer. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

Sounds like an overheating problem (video burns lots of energy)? Did you get a black screen and a warning when video recording?

I did not see when it turned off either time. I just looked up and the phone was in rest mode. It worked great the rest of the day just using the timer. I did see the thread on heat and it was hot, mid 90's. I am going back out Friday and will let you know. Thank you
