Cannon Overlay Data on New Track I Added
Cannon Overlay Data on New Track I Added
I went to Pueblo Motorsports Park (PMP) in Pueblo, Colorado USA yesterday. I use Harry's Lap Timer v17.0.6 on an iPad Mini Wifi. Before I left my house I loaded PMP as the current track, but then I tested my GPS and OBD II inputs on an autocross course I created in my neighborhood. I forgot to reload PMP before I left the wireless network at my house. When I got the track there was no way to load PMP on my iPad. My only other option was to create a new track and hit start during my first lap. I did this and the data recorded. When I imported my Go Pro footage into my iPad camera roll (through and App called Splice) and added the video to the lap no data overlaid. After editing the lap to add the video, I selected "Overlaid" as the type of video, but no data overlays. Is this because it's a non-standard track? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks...
Re: Cannon Overlay Data on New Track I Added
Firstly, there is absolutely no need to remove PMP when running an AX / defining an AX course somewhere else. LapTimer can hold up to 15 track sets at a time - as long as the tracks do not overlap.
But back to the issue: I understand you find the lap data recorded in you Lap List, and have the GoPro video associated? The step you need to run next is pressing the "Overlay" button in the lap's Lap Details. This will generate a new video - which will have the overlay and will be tagged as an overlaid video - which allows LapTimer to better show the status. The operation you performed has probably been to manually set this tag - which does not change the videos contents. In case the video appears as "overlaid" but is not, you need to reset this tag first to get the named "Overlay" button... This tagging is a rarely used area, I need to consult the code for more information...

Thanks Harry. That worked...
