Video from only half the laps in a session

Post by Craig3Q »

I just returned from 2 days at Sears Point, and I notice that I have video from just half the laps. Specifically, I seem to only have video for laps 3, 5, 7, 9, and so on. I'm not even sure these videos cover an entire lap. They seem to end just before the turn-in to turn 2 and start at the apex of turn 2, roughly.

I suspect this is caused by the process of transferring videos to the photo album after each recorded lap. I would in fact prefer to have a single video file for an entire session.

Am I missing something? Have I configured the application improperly?

Thanks.

Hi,

LapTimer records every other lap currently. This is for technical reasons. One solution can be to record the whole session and to break it down once the session is ended. On the other hand this means the whole session is on risk in case a problem occurs (memory). From what you describe, there might be a further issue with your trigger settings. Please make sure you do not have a 'self made' trigger around turn 2. To check, please export some laps to .KML and send it to LapTimer@gmx.de

Just now sent a lap export, Harry. Thanks for looking at it.

Now that I look at the video again, it looks like the split is at around turn 1, just past actual start/finish. This seems reasonable, and I think I was a little confused when I looked at a couple of videos while processing them after the track event.

Here is one of my videos, by the way:

Thanks again for checking the data file, Harry.
