Wondering if this is a bug.
Scenario: There is no lap data, all default laps etc. have been deleted.
A track set is then loaded, in this case "Croft".
Two "laps" with video are then recorded for some road driving.
We now have two "Unspecified" laps and the "Croft" set.
After overlay and video export the two unspecified laps are deleted from the lap list.
The Croft set remains but is now categorised as "Unspecified".
Have repeated this on several occasions with the same result.
Possible Bug?

So at this point Lap List looks like this?tulloch wrote:We now have two "Unspecified" laps and the "Croft" set.
Code: Select all
Unspecified
Lap 1
Lap 2
Croft
POIs

Re: Possible Bug?
That is correct.
Re: Possible Bug?
And you get no crash or error message in between? Overlaying should certainly not change anything adding a new overlaid video (and adjusting the links from lap to video)... One more question: does this happen when overlaying Lap 1 and Lap 2 afterwards, or do you get this after overlaying the first lap?

Re: Possible Bug?
No crash or error message. You don't need two laps and you don't need to overlay.
Start with no data.
Load track set.
Record a few seconds video.
Delete that "lap"
Track set becomes unspecified.

Delete that "lap"

Re: Possible Bug?
O.k., so you sent me the wrong direction
LapTimer will remove tracks when the users cleans / deletes all laps and POIs. So if you delete the last lap of a track, LapTimer assumes you do not need this track any more and removes it (what else can be the reason to do this clean up?). As it is so easy to reload a track, that seems to be the most convenient approach?

Re: Possible Bug?
Yes, once I have some track data I'll no doubt want to keep at least the best lap. No harm done, was just unexpected.
