Your dura metrics may use manufacturer specific codes, LT doesn't
So please try this first. Once it works, you may file a feature request

Perfect. I'm getting the BT1 so I'll have to wait for v16 to test it. I'll let you know how it goes.

Harry v16 is a great update and works well with the BT1. A couple requests, Porsche has oil temp as vehicle specific value that duremetric can read, is there a way you can pull this in? My 987.1 shows the oil temp with duremetric but n/a thru v16.
Second request is to have the temps visible in the video view. Excellent update by the way

Hi,
Porsches do not report oil temperatiure using the standard OBD II PID. I'm sure they have it somewhere available, but I do not know the PID / CAN ID. In case anyone can report the PID - I will add. Would love to see it in my car too

That's great. You need to find a Porsche technician, these codes are known by Porsche and OEMs.

I'm resurrecting an old thread as I'd also like to see my oil temp. Any update? I have a BT1 but oil temp not available on my 997.
Thanks, Dave

Yes, the 997 does not publish oil temperature - which is odd. It is coolant temp only.

Actually the 997 and 987 do publish the oil temp but not as a std ODBII reading. My duremetrics cable reads the values from the port but it seems they have reverse engineered the codes. I'm not sure how we can do the same but I would love to figure it out.

Yes, certainly. Modern cars have hundreds of values available. Problem is as soon as you want to access car specific values things get a lot more complicated and brand / model specific. Car manufacturers keep this informations secret and provide it to OEMs only. For this special case, if anyone presents the secrets of Porsches to me, I will try to add support
