App crashes in Autocross mode upon standing start

Hi all,

Im having a bit of a problem with the autocross timing mode, I have set up a small autocross track near my house just to get it working, its set to standing start, when it gets near the start it asks to stand still and press the "staged start" button, once you press this it then says "accellerate to start" at which point the app freezes and wont work.

The gopro does start to video at the point you accellerate, but I thought it should video when im in the staged area before this, but the video also wont turn off at the finish line, presumably because the app has crashed.

any ideas?

Hi,

Please check if this happens without video recording too. I need to reproduce the issue as a "freeze" does not generate a crash log I can analyze. The more information on the setup I can get, the better it is.

I have tested it without video on and it worked fine, the video has still recorded if you go into video list, but I did not go into the video menu and hit the 'auto record' button. It freezes with just the internal iphone camera. I have attached a picture of the video settings.

Sorry to ask again, but what are exactly the steps you run through to reproduce the issue. Simply approaching a Standing Start with the Video View open? With or without a GoPro connected?

I have created an autocross track, 2 POIs which I imagine are start and finish. I have set it to standing start. Its using an XGPS 150 GPS module, which connects and runs at about 4Hz.

If I just put it in laptimer and leave it on laptimer so the red cross is over the video icon, I approach the start, it says im at the start and to stop. It then comes up with an orange icon which I press and it then comes up with the black and white flag which tells me to start accellerating. When I accellerate it starts the stop watch and turns it off at the finish line.

When I turn video on, by selecting the video menu I select the 'video automaticly' mode which then takes it back to the timer screen but the video icon is in dark grey. It does everything the same as above but when I go to accellerate it does not engage the timer and the application is frozen.
