Trying to import an hlptrl file, nothing happens

Post by Cadaver »

Trying to import an hlptrl lap (just one lap), its in my email. I choose the file, long press and it says "open in harry's lap timer" (version 17) I choose that, and nothing happens. The "choose app" dialog goes away, but then it just sits there in the email message, and nothing happens.

Is there something else I should be doing here?

That's a bug in iOS. There are several work arounds: LapTimer v17 exports using the format .hlptrz instead of .hlptrl That format will open. So in case you can export the laps from v17 again, please use that input. As an alternative, compress the foo.hlptrl file on your desktop using gzip (that's the command line version, there are platform specific compressor front ends available too). Rename the compress foo.hlptrl.gz file to foo.hlptrz and send the file to your iPhone again.

Thanks Harry, I re-zipped it and renamed it and it worked perfectly. Great! :)
