Hero GoPro WiFi Control

Post by Scotto »

I'm asking Santa this year for two things, that HLTP will have WiFi control of the GoPro cameras and a GoPro 3 Black Edition.

Please Santa!

Not sure Santa is planning a christmas release... But I believe the Santa at LapTimer is working on something even better for Spring / next season ;-) Please like our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HarrysLapTimer to get information and updates early.

Sounds great !

I have a Gopro 2 with Wi-fi back pack and wrist remote control. Would it also be compatible as GoPro 3 with built-in Wi-fi ?

It would be great to start Laptimer and GoPro recordings with just one screen touch in the iPod/iPhone... ;)

Without having tested it or being really familiar with the whole line of products, it seems the HERO2 plus BacPac will works just like the HERO3.
In one point I need to correct you: LapTimer and the HEROs will start recording *without* any screen touch :-)

Hi Harry,
The functionality to trigger the Gopro via your app will be awesome, but this will most probably mean that you cannot connect a Gopro and a wifi-OBD dongle simultaneously?

Hello Harry,

thx for the great App! Im using it for motoracing.
I wantet to connect my Iphon 4S with my GoPro Hero 2 with WiFi BacPac.
In your video using the Iphon 5 and GoPro 3, the Cam starts automatically when starting the App. And starting autoamticaly recording, when starting recording in the app.
These two functions do not work.
I checked:
- Connectivity Cam > Handy
- Function Cam > GoPro App
- Updates: Cam, BacPac, App

Do you have an idea why it does not work?

Please set the GoPro password in LapTimer's Settings. The reason this is needed is outlined in http://www.gps-laptimer.com/LapTimerDoc ... hapter.pdf (section in GoPro / step by step setup description).
