[SOLVED] Video in Library but NOT synced to Individal Laps

Post by Dubbedown »

What would cause HLT to record video of a whole session but the individual laps aren't linked to the video?

For example if you started recording video manually but never had a good gps fix during the session.

Your latest update that was available 2 days ago. I never record manually, I let it start automatically. I use the Dual GPS device and usually get a good fix.

So I understand you find your session video in LapTimer's Documents folder (i.e. in the Video List), and see your individual laps in the Lap List? Do the laps show a NO VIDEO preview or just no video hint at all? The links are stored in the lap database just as the lap times are. Latest when sending LapTimer to background (Home button), all changes to the databases are stored permanently.

Correct, I find my ENTIRE session on video in the Documents folder. But each lap which shows a video does not show the respective lap video, instead they are all linked to the same original unspliced entire video. Another interesting thing is my video list shows

23:21:98, 1767mb, Nov 3, 2012 4:35pm

BUT on Lap List, it says my sessions began at 5:11pm and last one ends around 5:3x pm (I remember deleting my last lap since it was cool down session). But when I click on first lap at 5:11pm, and click on Raw Video, File Properties shows 4:35pm.

Yes, and that's how it should be... As long as you do not overlay a lap to the video, all the laps point to that large raw video. One could think about showing a portion only here, but currently that's how it is designed. Once you overlay, LapTimer will extract the matching portion of the raw video, overlay, and link the overlaid lap video.

BUT on Lap List, it says my sessions began at 5:11pm and last one entered around 5:3x pm (I remember deleting my last lap since it was cool down session). But when I click on first lap at 5:11pm, and click on Raw Video, File Properties shows 4:35pm.
Yes, that's getting complicated... While lap times get the time stamp of their start (= 5:11), the time shown in Video Details is simply the time the file has been written physically to your iPhone's storage. This means this time (stamp) is the one the raw video file has been closed / finally saved. In addition to that, it seems daytime savings adjustments seems to not be correct for the file time stamp display. I will check that but would assume it should be 5:35pm instead of 4:35pm. Makes sense?
