[SOLVED] Large app file size

Post by vortexblue »

Hi-
I just noticed that through iTunes, I can see that LapTimer is 22.3mb. My total size of all apps is 6.3Gb.
If I uncheck (remove) LapTimer, my total size of all apps is 2.7Gb!

I've offloaded all the videos I've taken and transfered all my laptimes - so I have none listed in LapTimer right now.

Is there some sort of cache I can delete? Should I uninstall/ reinstall the app?

details: ios6, 13.70Gb capacity (?), HLT v16.6.1 (Pro Upgrade)
Thanks!

Update:
I removed the app from the list in iTunes, then Synced.
Then I re-installed the app in iTunes, then synced. My usage is down to 2.6Gb (for all apps), but I've lost all my LapTimer Pro features. How do I re-download those?

Besides Videos (please check Video List, not only Lap List for housekeeping), LapTimer stores data recordings and track set downloads - nothing that would need huge amounts of space. So I assume - although you purged the Lap List - there where still some unlinked videos. To get your Pro features back, simply go through the purchase process again. As long as you use the same iTunes ID like during your initial purchase, you will not be charged again.

Thanks for the reply!
I was able to log back into the correct account and get the additional features by pressing 'buy now'. I guess I was looking for someway to re-download like when you move apps on and off with itunes. Either way, I'm back in business.

As far as the videos go, I'm not sure that was it unless they were somehow 'hidden' on my phone. They were not in my album, all of them were removed and all laps purged before uninstalling/ reinstalling.

I'll keep this thread posted in the future if I notice the issue return, but I think this case is probably closed.

Thanks for a great product with great support, Harry!
