V16.6 Professional (probably) dumb question about menus

Post by JAJ5Point0 »

I am not a heavy user of the product, but yesterday I had the opportunity to stick the iPhone 4 (not S) on my windshield and spend the day driving at the Ridge in Washington State. I collected a lot of data.

This morning, I started to review it and I'm stuck in the menu system. First thing this morning I went to "More" and picked on "Lap List". I selected a lap from the list and looked at all the details - impressive. Now I can't get back to the list. If I pick on "Done" or on "More" at the top of the detailed view page, I get back to the "More" menu, and when I pick on "Lap List" I go back to the detailed view of Lap #130. I can't find a way back to the full list of laps.

Same thing is happening with the list of Video's - I'm only able to look at the one I picked on; going backwards takes me to "More" and selecting Videos from there takes me to the detailed view I just left. I can't get back to the list of three new videos.

Thanks
JJ

Hi,

Seems to be a problem with the view hierarchy... Have you changed the items visible in the tab bar recently? This is the only way I could reproduce the problem: had Lap List in position #2 of tab bar, selected More, selected Edit, moved another view in position #2 and had Lap List behind More afterwards. Now, selecting More + Lap List + any Lap Details results in a back button to More - instead of getting back to Lap List. In case the tab bar order is not changed, Lap List -> Details -> Lap List work fine both in one of the four initial positions, AND behind More.

Please restart LapTimer to see if you can work around the same way: press Home to send LT to background, double press Home to get the task bar, long press LapTimer until you get the read badge, press the badge to kill LT. Now, start LT again and check if the problem persists.

Thanks Harry!

I went out to walk the dog and when I got back LT had shut down completely and it worked fine after restarting it. If I get stuck there again, I'll do the restart again. Unfortunately I can't tell you how I got in that situation - I was just going through the menus to see what I had captured. I'm not that familiar with the app, so I just kept hitting buttons to see what they did. I was convinced I was stuck because I had done something dumb.
