Hello,
I have used LapTimer Pro successfully a few times last year. picked the track, ran the track days, overlaid, came home downloaded onto the computer. Simple. Then I broke my trans, and I after on year have got the car finally rebuilt entirely. So I just did my first track day and CA Speedway, and fat fingered the track settings. So of the day of sessions, I only have two videos of anything useable, and I suspect 2 data files to go with them. No matter what I have been trying the overlay is on the wrong video, and I can't flip flop them.
I had overheating issues as well, so a few minutes into the recording when I finally had it working, and set to the correct version of the track, the iPhone shut off. So I have just that, and its good enough, if I could just get the overlay flipped to the correct videos. Any guidance is appreciated. I have been clicking and re overlaying by trail and error, and am getting nowhere.
Thanks
M

Hi M,
So what you are saying is you have laps in the lap list and they point to the wrong videos?

Re: flipped data and vid
I think so.
I have one lap in the lap list actually, which is likely the beginning of the confusion. However I had several videos. I suspect one of the videos is the continuation of the other. When I do the overlay of either, I can tell they are flipped by the lap number and speed details.
The video that starts with Turn 5 (what start there?) indicates turn 1, and the video that starts with turn 1 indicates turn 5 in the data.
Based on that I only had those small amounts of data to salvage and could tell they were mixed or flipped I thought I might be able to re-align them, but I suspect I am making it worse by clicking around on everything.

Hi,
I believe the only way to understand the situation is getting an export of the lap (.hlptrl format) AND the video you assume is the right one. Please check the date of recording for both the lap and the video to verify it is the correct one. To send the video, it needs to be placed on a file server. In case you have one available, please use it and send the link to me. In case you don't, please send an email to Harry@gps-laptimer.de and I will provide a way to send it.

OK I have a dropbox account, so I should be able to provide public link for you to pull the videos.
I have them with the wrong overlays, and then the one data file. Just let me know if what I send you is useable.
In trying to fix this on my own at some point I was at a screen that asked me to select the end of lap frame, which I couldn't tell. I tried a few things, but no change, and then I ultimately "Moved" the file. This was one of the RAW videos. Where is that file now? Can I unmove it, because I don't see it listed in the videos to select from anymore.
This way I could provide both non overlaid videos.
Thanks for the help!. Sorry they are such moronic questions.

The raw data file please.
Selecting the correct sync point is critical. It effectively aligns video and data recordings. Having a wrong point selected here will generate a video that has this types of data / image mismatches. Moving a video does not harm LapTimer. This simply means you have moved the video from LapTimer's document area to the photo library. LT can access both for overlay.
