No video only sound

Post by my_vw_sucks »

I'm having trouble watching or overlaying video. Video's only show up black, but there is perfect sound. When I try to overlay data the process just hangs. If I go into edit the video is linked with a lap timer recording but that video doesn't show up in my camera roll. Any ideas on how to get this so I can actually see the video?

Thanks,

Zane

The video is stored in LapTimer's documents area. You can access it using the 'Details' button an move it to the Photo library if you want. In case you have no picture, either you had your lens covered :-) or there has been a problem in iOS. Actually, LT just calls a start and a finish function for raw video recording. There rest is done by iOS.

lol, I wish it were as simple as the lens being covered. I put the camera back in the cradle later that night and recorded through ios with no issues. http://youtu.be/HMilXlOykJ4 I was too scared to record through lap timer and not get any footage. Also, another funny thing is that the timer recorded 8 laps at about 2:25 per lap for about a total of 20 min of data, but the video is 69 minutes long. Where did the other 49 minutes of lap data go?

Most probably because you ran out of memory? 69min is pretty long already. LapTimer stops video recording once the remaining storage gets low. You should have received a message forcing you to leave the Video view however.
