It is with drivers as with many other things in life: never give up! Following my evening/night attempt, I continued the struggle. Borrowed my daughters Leono X61S running WXP Pro: Same result it started writing, no "erase" phase, but in spite of reaching 62 seconds of writing before going into the eternal loop, it never got the new firmware up and going.

I then brought out my old desktop from retirement running XPP: Success right from the first attempt! Great stuff. Less than 5 minutes, and I was looking at 5.3hz logging rate through HL interface.

The lesson I learned is that Lenovo laptops (3 different failed to work) is NOT comparable with the update setup. While the good old bamboo desktop is. Exactly where the issue lies, I cannot tell, but I think somebody at DUAL ought to fix the problem many apparently seem to have with the update.

I am all set to go with the best software, and now also hardware. Only I am kicking myself for not getting the IP4S with 32 or 64 Gb capacity. The 16 is simply too limited in diskspace for serious video overlay stuff.

I'm only have 4,3 - 4,8 Hz update rate on IPhone 4S and never 5 Hz or more. Additionally connection with XGPS150 drops every 5 minutes. Do anybody know why it could be?

I don't think the issue is with Lenovo, I think Microsoft broke USB2 when it went to Vista. Which is why we see the problems across all manufacuturers, but not with XP implemetations.

4.8 Hz are fine. LT reports the effective update rate which is fine with 4% fixes missing / nor processed.

That's the problem, it's inconsistent. Works on some computers but not others with windows later than XP.

After starting off with a TomTom I finally went with a XGPS150 as I use the log data as well for acceleration testing 100-200 km/h.

Now, I experience some of the logging with missing data, in some areas it seems like the 0.2 seconds data points just miss in the log.

Any idea why? Is the iphone at its limit with 5 Hz ( I hope not, it's a 4S) or is it satellite connectivity issues? The device was properly placed on the dash.
If iPhone performance was an issue I could change to iPad for acceleration tests... No problem, but I just ordered a Gopoint BT1 which gives additional load to the iPhone BT connection and logging... on my coming track days iPad is not an option on the screen...

The iPhone is not limited to 10Hz. In case you are not sure, check the Sensors list on which GPS sensor is currently used.

Harry is there any chance for XGPS150 to support 10 Hz update rate in the future?
