Pocono track seen on friends app but not mine

Post by jack08520 »

I ran Pocono for the first time recently and was surprised by all the different track configurations that are available. On my phone I pulled up 14 different configs but not the one that we were running (North South option three clockwise). Meanwhile our instructor (Todd) showed me that on his phone this config was available (picture attached - I took a pic of his app with my phone). Looking closer our instructor was running Grand Prix whereas I was running Petro Head. I went ahead and paid for GP but the track option still does not appear. Debating on whether I should try and get a credit for GP - or if it offers other useful options compared to PH? Another driver at this event also had PH (same version as me - 25.0.1) and he was missing this config as well. I tried picking one of the other clockwise configs just to try and capture some video - but it would not fire when crossing the start/finish line.

Hello,

Track sets are stored on LapTimer's Server and replicated to your smartphone regularly. You can force a download of the latest set using the Refresh button in LapTimer ‣ Administration ‣ Add-ons. Track configurations should be the same for all LapTimer editions, we do not filter these - at least not intentionally.

Alternative track sets work in case they share the same s/f trigger and the same direction s/f is passed. Practicing this will result in wrong reference and predictive lap times / gap analysis, but it will store data for later sorting.

Do not ignore LapTimers warning on conflicting track sets when working with multiple track configurations for the same track. Allow it to purge older track definitions instead. Otherwise LapTimer will fail to detect new laps. Purging conflicting track definitions will not result in a loss of data, you can reload it at any time.

Yes - the Refresh did result in this track config being pulled down - thanks!
