This is an unusual question...I use HLT with an Android Phone, but I would like to do the reviews, download and over-lays on an iPad. Will that work? If so, do I have to pay for a new IOS version separately as a new user?
Also, when I establish a standing starting position, the proceed to stage message fluctuates in feet going anywhere from 8 feet to 20 feet. The Stage button sometimes flashes on and off. I have launched without pressing the Staged button, and the stage distance message changing, and obviously the run doesn't start at all, or after a few feet from the start line.
Finally, a question I asked some time ago about the course outline/map. I have Grand Prix, but I do not use a OBD dongle or GPS add-on. It is in the overlay that I used to get a full course layout graphic, now I only get a small portion of the image. I must have changed some setting, but don't know where of how. How do I change that setting?
Thank you,
Android to IOS and course image.

App licenses are maintained by Apple and Google. Neither supports a transfer - not even between two of their own ids. So when using two platforms, you need to buy two licenses. But you can apply to our Mover Support program (see http://www.gps-laptimer.de/products) providing you with a partial refund on your second purchase.
To transfer data, use export to the HLPTRL file format and import that on the other device. Take care, imports are additive and double importing can result in issues with the database operations.
Jumping distance in „standing start: this indicates a weak GPS connection and accuracy. Try to move your phone more to the front - directly behind the window. See illustration #3 in LapTimer’s Quick Reference.
You can switch between a full track map and an area around the current position in the Overlay Configuration dialog: scroll to the bottom of the screen (Android) or swipe to the second settings page (iOS). The option is named Dynamic Map. Turn it off to get a full track display.

Re: Android to IOS and course image.
Thanks for the detailed explanation, Harry! I was wondering about the same thing regarding switching between Android and iOS. The tip about weak GPS connection makes sense now—I’ll try moving the phone closer to the windshield. Also, good to know about the Dynamic Map setting, I must have accidentally turned it on. Appreciate the help!Harry wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 6:57 am App licenses are maintained by Apple and Google. Neither supports a transfer - not even between two of their own ids. Re: Android to IOS and course image.
Great to know about this Dynamic Map setting! I always thought the map view was locked, but now I know I can switch to a full track display when needed
