Lap time and map
It used to be in the past I can use the app and move the start/stop position on the map to move it to the correct position. After all the new updates and not using the gran prix version in some time, it seems like it can’t do that anymore?
It doesn’t record laptime properly anymore because maybe it doesn’t register the start stop properly. Anyway to fix this??

Re: Lap time and map
You can drag around triggers in the Map View. Take care to touch down, wait shortly and start dragging then. In case you touch / drag directly you will move the map around.
In case LapTimer doesn't trigger, there is either a problem with the trigger or with the GPS accuracy / lock.

Re: Lap time and map
I finally found where to move the triggers. It’s in Analysis- realtime- maps
I moved the start stop but how can I make it change my previous lap times?
There seems to be issues with GPS fixes. There is one 19 min session with only 10 fixes! How do I fix this? I’ve used my same setup in the past with no issues (2 years ago ish)
Under the realtime- GPS - the raw rate is mostly 0hz
I’ve the latest version. Recording gps via iphone6. Hero 3 silver camera with wifi. Obd Bluetooth via GoPoint

Using the internal GPS, you need to get a rock solid 1 Hz display. In case you are inside currently, you will have no stable lock. When driving your car, mount the device like shown in illustrations 3 and 4 of LapTimer’s Quick Reference.

Re: Lap time and map
My speed on the overlay is quite delayed. What settings do I have to change? GoPoint Bluetooth. Again used to work properly now it doesn’t seem to work well. The sensor list shows green. Appears to update very very slowly or perhaps it is using GPS or something. First 55 sec of the overplayed video showed it freezed. Then it starts recording data at low rates then freezes closer to the end of the video
Also do I have to return to timer view when recording? Can I record preview mode effectively?

Re: Lap time and map
When opening the Preview, you get a message this view is used to check the field of view only, but should not use it while driving. So yes, please return to Timer View. Especially for iOS, you will get inspecting processing delays and misalignments of data and video otherwise. This has changed for a recent iOS update or maybe some odd combination of how LapTimer uses the video preview.

Re: Lap time and map
Thank you harry but what can I do to fix the low rates on my obd? It used to be fast on old versions. Any settings I can try? I did aggressive timing and enabled timing but the rates are slow still
Re: Lap time and map
Please have a look into the Debugging OBD connections here on the forum / FAQ section.

Re: Lap time and map
Fixed. Problem was ECU addresses value. I had a space after all so it’s “ALL “
The app sees that value as A$ or something weird
