Laptimer operating with iPhone screen turned off

With the laptiming ban on the Nordschleife and me still wanting cool data overlays on the gopro- recordings without upsetting the Nürburgring officials, I thought this might be a nice feature.
I totally agree with the dangerousness of one following a timer while trying to go faster and faster so I have no need for the timing screen to be visible for me. All I need is, to be able to put everything together after I’m done driving for the day.
Any thoughts? You can also remove this suggestion in case even talking about laptiming on the ’ring is prohibited.

I just leave my screen turned on and stick it in the console to keep it stealth.
