Re: Can I transfer Laptimer to a new ipad...
Success!! The problem was that the file was too large. When I emailed data from just a single day (about 28 laps), the email went through, and the laps are now on my new ipad. Next, I'll try to figure out how the send the rest of the laps in groups, then I'd like to store them in the cloud so I don't have to clog up my ipad's memory.

Re: Can I transfer Laptimer to a new ipad...
Now that I understand how to transfer laps from my wife's ipad mini to my new one, I have a few follow-up questions:
1. Is there a way to select a group of laps at one time to email to the new ipad? The options shown are to send all the laps, the ones from the most recent day, and one lap at a time.
2. What method of storing the laps remotely do you recommend? Emailing them to a computer and then storing them on the hard drive? The cloud? Which method allows the laps to be most easily retrieved to the device that contains Laptimer? My goal is to permanently remove the laps from my wife's ipad to free up space.
3. Once I'm confident that everything has been successfully transferred to my new device, and backed up remotely, can I remove the ap from my wife's ipad (again to free up space for her)?
4. For laps with videos associated with them, do the videos transfer with the lap when backing the laps up, or will they have to be re-linked if I want to play the lap back with the video in the future?
Thanks.

In case they are in the outbox, they were not sent. Once a mail has left the local device, it is moved from Outbox to Sent. As LapTimer compresses files, 100 laps will not hit any limit for the format .hlptrl.

Re: Can I transfer Laptimer to a new ipad...
That's what I had thought, but for some reason, it wasn't until I reduced the size of the file by only emailing one days's worth of laps (28 laps vs. the 100 total stored on the old ipad) that the mail got sent. I was able to send it successfully both to the new ipad, and to my Outlook email account, from which I then transferred the lap data to my desktop computer's hard drive. Maybe the problem is that some of the laps have video data associated with them.
Now that I have the last day's data safely transferred and backed up, I will delete this day's laps from the original ipad, and email the remaining laps, one day at a time, to my computer hard drive via my Outlook account, and keep only the few that I want to access on my new ipad.
Can I remove the Laptimer app from the original ipad?
Thanks.
