PIP out of sync with main

Post by Idunno »

Testing near my home using GOPRO 4 session for the PIP, iphone 6s for main: I manually added the PIP video using the procedure of dropping it into HLT in itunes. It wouldn't work any other way. On the overlaid video, the gopro PIP is about 1.5 seconds ahead of the main. Please, what can I do to sync them?

The sync point has not been set correctly and needs to be adjusted. Goto Video List and select the video used as PiP. Scroll to the bottom of the Video Details screen and select the row showing the lap's sync point. Adjust the sync by 1.5 and export the video again.

Thanks. Earlier today, I did a half hour, 14 lap session at Dominion Raceway in Virginia, everything is in sync but the PIP disappears at the exact end of lap 2. It never comes back. The PIP file IS as long as the main. What can I do?

I selected all fourteen laps for the video overlay. If I select a lap individually, the PIP is there. I really want a seamless 14 lap video.
Thanks.

Interesting. So it covers laps 1 and 2 but not those behind except you start the overlaying range later?

I've had this happen as well... the PiP video drops at the end of the lap.

What works for me is to revert all of the individual laps that you did a multi-lap overlay for... then repeat the export for the multi-lap overlay.
