I have recently bought the Petrolhead version of the laptimer and have a few queries.
1st
I recorded my laps with my gopro, and had the laptimer going thinking I could overlay the data to my gopro footage at home later on (rather than try to record using my phone in an open top car), this appears to be impossible to do though, unless I am missing something?
Is the only way to merge the data and gopro footage to use the Grandprix version of the app?
2nd
Is there any way to see what lap times other users have got on the same track? I have spent a while flicking back and forward on the app and cannot find anything.
It would be nice to compare how quick/slow I am compared with other users and with different cars etc
I think I submitted one of my laps to the 'hall of fame' (whatever that is) but have no idea what this is or how to get too it? I cant find it on the app or online
3rd
Is there a way I can make my own 'track', ie, setting a start finish point on road or private land sections?
If there is, would it only be me that can see it, or anyone can see it?
Lap timer queries
Re: Lap timer queries
1) You can add footage recorded manually to laps and overlay them using the app. Please have a look into Video Documentation available on www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation for the details. GrandPrix is not needed for this mode of operation.
2) To see a track's hall of fame, goto LapTimer ‣ Administration ‣ Add-ons and select any track. Scroll to the bottom to see the HoF.
3) Custom tracks can be created using the Autocross or New Track assistants, they are available in the Prepare race tile. Custom tracks are invisible to others. To publish them, you need to certify it with us.

Re: Lap timer queries
Thanks Harry,
I'll have a look into that when I get the chance!

Re: Lap timer queries
Thanks Harry
I have tried to access the hall of fame, but seem to be having some problems. I search for the track I want in the add ons section then slide down to the hall of fame where I get a spinning 'loading' circle, that lasts for around 5 seconds and then the app crashes.
I don't have access to the footage for the data I recorded to try to overlaying but will give it a go when I can.

Re: Lap timer queries
Please post you exact device configuration. In case LapTimer cannot make a connection to the server or there are no laps recorded for a track set, the section will be removed after a few seconds. In case this is what you saw, it is no crash but simply has one of the above causes.
