Overlay Issue - 'Invalid master video'

Post by ImolaSlicktop »

Hello all,

I apologize if this specific issue has been covered, but a quick search didn't help me out, as many people have different setups to record lap times, etc. Figured it'd be best to just ask.

I recorded some laps at Road America this weekend using my iPhone 6 (upgraded to Grand Prix), GoPro Hero 3+ (silver), and a Kiwi 3 OBDII data sender. Car was an e92 M3. My GoPro died for a few laps but I have several laps saved on Harry's, most of with have a corresponding video. However, when I click "Export," I get the message 'Invalid master video.' There doesn't seem to be anything I can do on this screen to help my case, I can just cancel the overlap/export process. This happens when my phone is connected to the GoPro via wifi as well. It seems I need to set a reference lap, because my videos may be incomplete/absent on the first lap. Is there a way to do something like this manually..?

Can anyone guide me in the right direction, or tell me if/why this setup is somehow incompatible at the moment?

Thanks in advance.

You need to transfer the GoPro footage to the smartphone before you can overlay it. Please read Video Documentation available from www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation. It includes detailed step-by-step instructions for transfer options.
