Help on issues you run into with LapTimer; in case you have a question on how to use LapTimer, use the forum "Using LapTimer" instead

[Moved to Using LapTimer]

To remote control an external cam, LapTimer GrandPrix is required. You can upgrade your Petrolhead from LapTimer ‣ Administration ‣ Add-ons ‣ GrandPrix Upgrade. To active the HERO, enter the type in External Cam (Settings) and make sure you enter the correct HERO Wifi password in the field below. Next, goto Timer and press Video. Select the right most selection (External Cam only) and you should see the status text change to something including "HERO3 connected".

Actually the iPhone4 is not recommended for use with LapTimer any more. Using the internal cam will mostly create resource issues and memory problems. But you may try the external only cam feature.

Follow instructions above up to the point "HERO3 connected". At this point the external cam is active and is waiting in background to be started.

Press Done in this dialog and you will see the cam status in the status gadget of Timer View. Once a lap recording is started, the HERO will be started too. Once you do not want to record HERO footage any more, return to Video Operation and press the left most button. This will deactivate and cam operation for further laps.
