There's an option for 60fps in the expert settings, followed by the Gopro IP. Is the 60fps switch for the Gopro only or will some of the iPhones also record at 60fps? If yes, which iPhones will record 60fps at what resolution?
The reason I'm interested is the fact that 60fps will reduce rolling shutter issues and lots of people recomend and use it with their action cams to prevent or at least reduce it.
60 fps video in iOS
Re: 60 fps video in iOS
Just looked at the Multicam App and it's missing the 60 fps option.
Re: 60 fps video in iOS
60 fps "tries" to set this frame rate. This feature depends on the OS version (7.x should be o.k.) and certainly the iPhone generation. As MultiCams are usually used for PiPs, the app has no sophisticated features like this, it is LapTimer only.

Re: 60 fps video in iOS
Forgot about this one...tried both 1080p and 720p on iPhone 5s and it only came out as a 30fps video while the try 60fps switch was on.
Re: 60 fps video in iOS
Sorry for resurrecting such an old topic but I'm having the same issues on iOS 9.3.1 with LapTimer Grad Prix Edition v20.0.1
Posted this on the Harry's LapTimer Facebook page and thought I would post it here as well.
Hi Harry.
Have been using LapTimer for almost 3 years now and I'm really happy with it
and this latest version could not have come at a better time since I'm going to The Nurburgring soon.
Anyway, my question is this. I'm using an iPhone SE(which is capable of both 4K/30fps and 1080p/60fps recording) and I'm having a hard time getting LapTimer to record in 1080p/60fps. 4K works beautifully, as does 1080p/30fps.
iOS is set to 1080p/60fps and LapTimer is set to 1920x1080 - FullHD and "Try High FPS" is on in the expert settings but it still only produces a 1080p/30fps video. Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong?
Would it be possible to add an option for 1080p/60fps in the settings menu?
Will also add that I have checked both "raw" and "overlay" videos and they are both 1080p/30fps.
Any help or advice is appreciated.
Thanks and regards

Re: 60 fps video in iOS
Hi,
The "Try High FPS" item's intension is to enable higher frame rates than the standard 25/30. It has been introduced some time ago and does not work as expected for current devices. Actually it is not maintained. I add this request to LapTimer v20.1 (plan, not committed).

Re: 60 fps video in iOS
Thanks for the reply
Guess I will just have to wait for an update then
and just keep use my aging GoPro Hero 2 for 60fps videos.
