Driver name

I am working on an Android device to get my first setup in Petrolhead. Issue I am running into to start with is I can not enter my 3 digit driver name. No issue entering car data but the driver name remains 3 Xs.
I expect I am overlooking something simple here, but what?

Select LapTimer ‣ Prepare Race ‣ Define User. Press Define Driver and touch the text field. This will bring up the keyboard. Delete the XXX and replace it by your initials. The name is limited to 3 letters for privacy reasons. It is displayed on LapTimer's Online View.
