Hi,
I've just used laptimer GP on a trackday for the first time. The recordings seemed to work fine, but I can't seem to get a satisfactory overlaid video. I wonder if someone could help me please?
Because of where I mount my phone (Z3 compact), I had the front-facing cam on my phone facing me driving and a gopro Hero 3 recording the view through the windscreen. I tried to set the gopro to record a more narrow-angle view but it seemed to revert to wide or medium each time.
The laps timed perfectly and I've been able to marry up the footage from the gopro to the right laptimes and phone vids.
The result of overlaying is very jumbled though.
Can anyone suggest how to get the gopro to record in narrow-angle format, and also how to sort out the overlaid info to make it smaller (and perhaps the picture in picture smaller too)
Many thanks
Here's my best attempt so far:

Overlay size problems
Re: Overlay size problems
Hi,
Please check if you have transferred the thumbnail GoPro video instead of the full size .mp4 file from the GoPro. GoPros record two video files - one for fast streaming and the HD / Full HD version. The video overlaid is simply very small - even below single density (which is the lowest level one can overlay without gauges overlapping).

Re: Overlay size problems
Thank you so much!
That's exactly what I'd done. Trying to save time and space. It works perfectly now that I've downloaded the full size vid.
Cheers
